Hard Rock Hallelujah?

Hoje é dia da semi-final do Eurofestival da Canção que decide a presença ou não na final do tema nacional em que relembro somos representados pelas NonStop. Dizem as más línguas que novamente ficaremos pelo caminho já que criticam os fatos de Dino Alves, a música, a coreografia, enfim tudo. Por mim eu até acho que o "pacote" criado pela RTP tem "pés e cabeça", mas no entanto aquele festival tem uns interesses e desígnios muito peculiares. Bem, boa sorte e que os interesses dos lobbies da eurocanção estejam com elas porque até não é delas que quero falar aqui.

Começa a ser habitual apresentar estilos menos convencionais que o Euro-pop no tradicional festival. Estilos como o rap, o etno, o disco, o techno, o electro-pop todos já foram ao longo dos anos tentados no evento. Lembro-me de no ano passado os Noruegueses Wig Wam se terem apresentado com um estilo hard-rock/glam rock com a canção "Rock is the New Schläger". Mas este ano a delegação filandesa tenta algo mais "pesado" ao apresentar um grupo de Heavy Metal, os Lordi. Grupo de sucesso no seu país o grupo distingue-se por uma apresentação cénica em que se disfarçam como monstros gore. Esta sui generis banda nunca dão entrevistas e tal como os míticos Kiss nunca mostram a sua cara. A sua presença no festival é bastante contestada por alguns (sobretudo gregos que são os organizadores) por os consideradarem um grupo "satánico". Não serão certamente anjos mas a canção inserida no ramo a que se dedicam é bem branda, melódica e fica no ouvido. Relembra as clássicas canções hard-rock americanas. No ano passado a Filândia saiu do festival com zero pontos e esta é "vingança" (ou será o desespero?) dos nórdicos. Por tudo isto vai ser divertido ver o festival nem que seja para me rir com esta "afronta" chamada "Hard-Rock Hallelujah" que parece quase contra-natura na Eurovisão. E se até uma transexual já ganhou uma vez porque não uma banda (levemente) Heavy-Metal?
